Searching for the best WordPress landing page plugin to help you build some high-converting pages?
The days of needing to hire a designer/developer for every landing page are gone. Now, you can build your own landing pages using simple visual, drag-and-drop builders.
But what’s the best WordPress landing page plugin for your specific situation? That’s what I’ll try to help you figure out in this post.
I’ll start with an in-depth comparison of six of the best landing page builders for WordPress.
Then, I’ll finish by recommending the best tool for some different situations, as all of these plugins have something unique to offer.
What Are the Best WordPress Landing Page Plugins?
- Thrive Architect – best value landing page builder if you’re on a budget.
- OptimizePress 3 – overall best WordPress landing page builder.
- Elementor Pro – flexible visual builder that also has a popup builder.
- Leadpages – SaaS tool with advanced features, but pricier than native WordPress plugins.
- Divi Builder – the only native WordPress landing page plugin to offer built-in A/B testing.
- Beaver Builder – solid all-around visual builder plugin, though not as many landing page features.
Top Landing Page Plugins for Creating Optin Forms in WordPress
Let’s jump right in, starting with one of my personal favorites…
1. Thrive Architect
- Self-hosted WordPress plugin
- Visual drag-and-drop design
- 325+ pre-built templates
- A/B testing via Thrive Optimize plugin (separate purchase from the same developer)
- Integrations with 30+ email marketing and webinar tools
- No built-in payment support
Thrive Architect is a visual, drag-and-drop WordPress page builder plugin with a focus on conversion optimization, which makes it perfect for building landing pages.
In the editor, Thrive Architect focuses on offering a truly inline editing experience. For example, if you want to edit any text, you just click on the page and type. You also get a number of helpful landing page elements, like an opt-in form element that can connect to 30+ email marketing and webinar services.
And if you want to optimize your landing pages, the same developer sells a plugin called Thrive Optimize that adds A/B testing support to Thrive Architect.
💵 Pricing: Thrive Architect is only available as part of the Thrive Suite of products, which includes access to all of Thrive Themes’ tools for $90 quarterly or $228 annually
👉 You can learn more in our full Thrive Architect review.
Who Should Use Thrive Architect?
Thrive Architect offers a great editing experience and the focus on inline editing makes it really easy to manage the content on your landing pages. The huge array of templates also can save you a ton of time.
Additionally, the option to add A/B testing support (via Thrive Optimize) is something that most WordPress page builders don’t offer.
So if you want a good all-around WordPress landing page builder, this is a great place to start.
Two things to consider though are that:
- Thrive Architect is just for landing pages – it can’t handle popups or other marketing elements like some of the other tools on this list. You could fix this by purchasing the Thrive Themes membership and using Thrive Leads (our review).
- There’s no built-in integration for payment processing, though you could always pair it with something like WooCommerce.
Get started with Thrive Architect today!
2. OptimizePress 3
- Self-hosted WordPress plugin
- Visual drag-and-drop design
- 100+ pre-built templates
- Integrations with 17+ email marketing services plus a catchall Zapier integration to connect to other services (webinars, CRMs, etc.)
- Sales funnel builder
- Built-in payment/checkout support via Stripe
OptimizePress 3 is a complete relaunch of this established WordPress landing page builder plugin.
If you’ve previously considered OptimizePress and discounted it, you’ll want to reconsider your decision because the new OptimizePress 3 visual, drag-and-drop editor is one of the best experiences that you’ll find for building WordPress landing pages.
It offers a speedy inline editing experience, along with marketing-focused elements to help you build your landing pages and 100+ pre-made landing page templates.
Where OptimizePress 3 really separates itself from the crowd is in two extensions:
- OptimizeFunnels – lets you create and analyze complete sales funnels.
- OptimizeCheckouts – create seamless Stripe-powered checkout flows right on your landing pages.
💵 Pricing: OptimizePress 3 starts at $99, but you’ll need the $199 Suite plan for access to OptimizeFunnels and OptimizeCheckouts.
👉 You can learn more in our full OptimizePress review.
Who Should Use OptimizePress?
First off, OptimizePress 3 just plain has one of the best drag-and-drop editors on this list, so it’s valuable for that alone.
Again, where I think OptimizePress really distinguishes itself is on the highest-tier Suite plan, though.
With that plan, you can build cohesive marketing funnels and also use a built-in checkout to sell your products straight from your landing pages.
At $199, that plan is pricey. But if you value those features, these are things that most of the other WordPress landing page plugins can’t do.
The only downside is that OptimizePress 3 doesn’t currently offer A/B testing. Older versions of OptimizePress did support A/B testing, so hopefully this feature makes its way to version 3.0 soon.
3. Elementor Pro
- Self-hosted WordPress plugin
- Visual drag-and-drop design
- Hundreds of pre-built templates
- Integrations with 7+ email marketing services plus a catchall Zapier integration to connect to other services (webinars, CRMs, etc.)
- Can create popups, too
- No built-in payment support, though there are third-party plugins
As compared to Thrive Architect and OptimizePress, Elementor Pro is more of a general-purpose WordPress page builder. It also offers a visual, drag-and-drop editing experience – it just doesn’t put the same emphasis on landing pages.
With that being said, it’s got everything you need to create beautiful landing pages, plus other helpful marketing tools like the ability to design popups, as well.
There’s a multi-purpose Form widget that can help you connect to seven popular email marketing services. It also supports a Zapier integration, which lets you connect to the many email, webinar, and CRM services on Zapier.
You can try the free version of Elementor at WordPress.org for very basic landing pages. But if you’re serious, you should upgrade to Elementor Pro for the Form widget, popups, and lots of other useful features.
💵 Pricing: Elementor Pro starts at just $49.
Who Should Use Elementor Pro?
Elementor Pro is a great option if you want a plugin that can do something more than just landing pages.
For example, if you like the ability to be able to design marketing-focused popups from the same tool, that’s a big benefit of Elementor Pro.
Elementor Pro is also useful for a lot more than marketing and landing pages. For example, the Theme Builder feature lets you design your entire WordPress website using Elementor’s visual interface.
The one downside for landing pages is the lack of built-in A/B testing. Still, there are ways to fix this. For example, you can use the third-party Split Test for Elementor plugin or Google Optimize.
4. Leadpages
- Hosted SaaS solution with a dedicated WordPress plugin
- Visual drag-and-drop design
- 100+ pre-built templates
- Integrations with 40+ email marketing and webinar services plus a catchall Zapier integration to connect to other services
- Create popups
- Built-in A/B testing
- Built-in payment/checkout support via Stripe
Leadpages is a hosted, SaaS landing page builder tool that you can easily integrate with WordPress thanks to a dedicated plugin.
You can build your landing pages using a visual drag-and-drop editor in the Leadpages dashboard. Then, you can deploy those landing pages to your WordPress site using the Leadpages plugin.
Leadpages includes a lengthy list of integrations, integrated checkouts powered by Stripe, and a popup builder tool. With the latest version, you can even build entire websites using Leadpages, though that falls a bit outside the scope of a landing page builder.
💵 Pricing: Leadpages starts at $25 per month (billed annually). However, you’ll need at least the $48 per month Pro plan for access to A/B testing and built-in payments.
Who Should Use Leadpages?
Leadpages is a good option if you like the SaaS approach rather than a self-hosted WordPress landing page plugin.
The nice thing about the SaaS approach is that you can manage all the landing pages for different sites from one spot. If you have a lot of different projects going, this convenience can save you time and effort.
It also includes some advanced features that many of the other tools on this list don’t offer like:
- Built-in A/B testing
- A larger-than-normal number of integrations
- Popups
- Integrated checkouts powered by Stripe
The main downside is the pricing. Because it uses recurring SaaS billing, Leadpages is definitely the priciest tool on this list.
5. Divi Builder
- Self-hosted WordPress plugin
- Visual drag-and-drop design
- Hundreds of pre-built templates
- Integrations with 20+ email marketing services (but no webinar services)
- Built-in A/B testing
Divi is a popular visual drag-and-drop WordPress page builder plugin that comes in both a theme and plugin version. For landing pages, you’ll probably be more interested in the plugin version, which you can use with any WordPress theme.
To help you generate leads, Divi Builder comes with its own opt-in form module that you can connect to 20+ popular email marketing services.
Divi Builder also offers built-in A/B testing, which lets you compare how different versions of specific elements perform. For example, you could test different button variations right from the Divi Builder interface, rather than creating a completely separate design.
💵 Pricing: Divi Builder is available as part of the $89 (10% off coupon) Elegant Themes membership (our review). This also gets you access to all of Elegant Themes’ other products, including the Bloom email opt-in plugin (our review) that you can use to create opt-in popups.
Who Should Use Divi Builder?
For landing pages, one of the most unique things about Divi Builder in comparison to other WordPress page builders is that it includes built-in A/B testing. No other self-hosted plugin on this list includes built-in A/B testing (though you can add A/B testing to Thrive Architect with the Thrive Optimize plugin).
Divi Builder also excels when it comes to design and style options, so if you value being able to create really unique-looking landing pages, that might be another advantage.
Divi Builder falters a bit with the integrations, though. While you can connect to most popular email marketing services, it lacks a Zapier integration like some of the other tools offer.
You could fix this by pairing Divi Builder with a contact form plugin.
Divi Builder also offers great value for your money because you get access to all the Elegant Themes products on unlimited websites for one price, including the ability to create opt-in popups with Bloom.
6. Beaver Builder
- Self-hosted WordPress plugin
- Visual drag-and-drop design
- Hundreds of pre-built templates
- Integrations with 22+ email marketing services (but no webinar services)
Finally, we have Beaver Builder, another visual drag-and-drop WordPress page builder that you can use for landing pages.
In terms of the WordPress page builder plugins on this list, Beaver Builder probably has the fewest landing page-focused features. It does include a Subscribe Form module that you can hook up to 22+ popular email marketing services, but it doesn’t have A/B testing (like Divi) or popups (like Elementor Pro).
Still, I think Beaver Builder can make a good WordPress landing page plugin simply because the Beaver Builder interface itself is just really pleasant to use.
💵 Pricing: Beaver Builder costs $99 for use on unlimited websites.
👉 You can learn more in our full Beaver builder review.
Who Should Use Beaver Builder?
Beaver Builder is a stellar WordPress landing page plugin if you don’t need advanced features like A/B testing, popups, or integrated payments.
If you just want something that will let you build a good-looking landing page without any technical knowledge, I think it’s a great option.
Of course, all the other plugins on this list can also do that, but I think the Beaver Builder interface is the draw here.
You can test it out with the limited free version at WordPress.org. If you like the interface, this might be the WordPress landing page plugin for you.
You’ll definitely need the paid version for landing pages, though – the free version is quite limited.
Which is the Best WordPress Landing Page Plugin?
Now for the important question – which is the best WordPress landing page plugin?
Well, that really depends on your needs – there’s no one single answer.
Let’s go through some scenarios…
First, if I had to pick the best overall WordPress landing page plugin for just landing pages, I would recommend OptimizePress 3 as my first choice.
It has all the features you need for landing pages, plus one of the best interfaces.
The cheapest tier works great for regular landing pages, while the highest tier adds support for funnels and integrated checkouts.
If you want something a little cheaper, I would say Thrive Architect is a good second option behind OptimizePress. It doesn’t have the integrated checkout or funnel tools, but it’s still a great all-around WordPress landing page plugin.
With that being said, all of the other plugins also have something to offer, which may make them a better choice for your situation:
- Elementor – can also build popups and help you design your entire WordPress theme.
- Leadpages – good if you like the SaaS approach and also has advanced features like A/B testing and integrated checkouts.
- Divi Builder – has built-in A/B testing, which no other self-hosted plugin offers. Also includes theme building like Elementor.
- Beaver Builder – nothing super unique, but just has a pleasant, easy-to-use builder interface.
FAQ to help you pick the best WordPress landing page plugin
Again, I think OptimizePress 3 is currently the best WordPress landing page plugin.
Both Divi Builder and Beaver Builder let you use the plugin on unlimited sites for under $100, which is tough to beat from a value perspective.
That depends if you look at “best” as design quality or quantity. Thrive Architect has the most landing page templates, but I think OptimizePress has the best-looking landing page templates.
I think OptimizePress offers the easiest to use landing page builder interface.
Leadpages has the most intuitive A/B testing system. Divi Builder also offers built-in A/B testing and Thrive Architect has A/B testing via the Thrive Optimize plugin.
If you want the most versatile tool, I think it has to be Elementor Pro because it also offers popups, theme building, and lots more.

It’d be great to have it featured on WPKube, some day 🙂

Checked out the first one that was recommended being free to use. Saw some negative reviews that it doesn’t work as expected (templates are paid, crashing, site incompatibility, etc.).

Great roundup Dev,
in 2021 Elementor as my vote 🙂
The WP block system is improving a lot and might be the defacto soon

Thanks Brain 🙂
Elementor has definitely become one of the best website / landing page builders for WordPress. I think it won’t be long before they launch their own hosted solution (similar to what Godaddy has).
