Bookly is a tried and tested appointment calendar in my opinion that can be scaled up, with a number of additional plugin upgrades if needed.
We tested Amelia and Bookly (paid versions) for a hospital patient reservation.
Both of them are capable, but Amelia's backend seemed faster and easier for my client/doctors.
